The route continues North alongside the River Avon to Upavon and then continues on the A345 for two miles where the course heads towards Woodborough and onto Alton Barnes.

The route then turns Westwards for seven undulating miles into Devizes but on the outskirts of the town you divert onto the road leading to Roundway hill but before the road starts going up you turn away and head through to the villages of Rowde and Bromham. Then it is a fast descent back into Melksham and onto the finish back at Melksham Town Football Club
