The Action 50 sportive is a Half Century ride starting and finishing in Devizes to raise funds for Youth Action Wiltshire. Riders will be taken on a road circuit around the periphery of Salisbury Plain and the beautiful Avon Valley.
The event will start at Devizes Leisure Centre with the route heading out to the South East of Devizes on the Nursteed Road leading onto the A342 before turning west at four miles in the hamlet of Lydeway.
At West Lavington the route bears south to the village of Tilshead where the route turns to the south east and presents a gentle climb over the plain with a fast descent down to the village of Chitterne.
The route then continues across the Plain through the villages of Shrewton, Larkhill, and Durrington where our Feed station can be found at the Stonehenge Inn.
After rehydrating, the route continues south to Bulford and then picks up on National Cycle way 45 through to Netheravon and Enford. The route continues North alongside the River Avon to Upavon and then continues on the A345 for two miles where the course heads towards Woodborough before turning on to Etchilhampton before reaching Devizes for the final miles back to the event headquarters.
All finishers will receive a medal and a High5 goody pack - Profits from the event will be going to the young persons charity: "Youth Action Wiltshire".
