YAW100K Sportive

The YAW100K Sportive is a metric century ride starting and finishing in TBC to raise funds for Youth Action Wiltshire. Riders will be taken on a road circuit around the periphery of Salisbury Plain and through the beautiful Avon Valley.

The 2020 YAW100K sportive has been cancelled.

The event will start at TBC with the route heading out to the South East of Devizes on the Nursteed Road leading onto the A342 before turning west at four miles in the hamlet of Lydeway.

Action50_mapThe route then goes westwards along the B3098 following the escarpment of Salisbury Plain going through Urchfont, Easterton and Market Lavington.

At West Lavington the route bears south to the village of Tilshead where the route turns to the south east and presents a gentle climb over the plain with a fast descent down to the village of Chitterne.

 

Stonehenge Inn

The route then continues across the Plain through the villages of Shrewton, Larkhill, and Durrington where our Feed station can be found at the Stonehenge Inn.

After rehydrating, the route continues south to Bulford and then picks up on National Cycle way 45 through to Netheravon and Enford. The route continues North alongside the River Avon to Upavon and then continues on the A345 for two miles where the course heads towards Woodborough before turning on to Etchilhampton before reaching Devizes for the final miles back to the event headquarters.

All finishers will receive a medal and a High5 goody pack - Profits from the event will be going to the young persons charity: "Youth Action Wiltshire".
