The Wiltshire 10

It is with great sadness that I finally have to concede to the forecast adverse weather for tomorrow, Sunday 9th February and cancel the 2020 edition of The Wiltshire 10 Road Race.

I know that it is disappointing but I can assure you that this decision has not been taken lightly and I gave Storm Ciara every chance to divert.

Unfortunately significant unrecoverable costs have been invested into this race on the given date and coupled with the major roadworks planned in Melksham from Monday for several months, rescheduling of the event is not possible.

As you may be aware this was to be the tenth running of The Wiltshire 10 and to mark this occassion a specially minted finishers medal had been produced. So I would like to offer you the chance to still claim one – just commit to running 10-miles anywhere in Wiltshire before 31st March 2020 and I shall ship one out to you [More details of this Virtual Wiltshire 10 to follow through our Facebook page].

I would also like to add that I will direct the profits from this cancelled race to the following charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, British Heart Foundation, RUH Forever Friends, MIND and Cancer Research UK.

Yours in running
